9/30/2023 SIS Release Notes

Modified on Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 4:05 PM

Special Needs Enhancements:

  • The "Special Needs" tab of the Student record has been moved into its own page, housed under "Special Needs" in the Student Menu. IEPs and IFSPs are now treated as records tied to the student, so that they can be factored into enrollment and attendance reporting accurately.  With the addition of new fields, both the IEP and IFSP records now track the Date Received from Parents, Expiration Date, and Service Frequency/Minutes/Type to further help staff with reporting needs. We hope this update serves you well!

Attendance Enhancements:

  • Added "Attendance Status" and "Absence Type" filters to the Manage Absences grids at the agency, site, and session levels
  • In conjunction with the updated IEP/IFSP records for a student, we have updated the Enrollment Attendance Register (EAR) report, the 8501 report, the 9500 report, and the Enrollment Category Report to report a child's enrollment days as "Exceptional Needs" for only the days during which the student's IEP and/or IFSP record(s) were active
  • Updated the Infant age group to be students less than 18 months old and the Toddler age group to be students between 18 months to 36 months old - this update has been implemented on the ELCD-9600 Prep Area, the Enrollment Category Report, and the EAR report
  • Updated the 8501, 8501 MHCS, 9500, and 9500 MHCS reports to allow users to "lock" previous months' enrollment and attendance counts after the reports have been generated for a period. Users will be able to "refresh" the report for individual periods after they have been generated so that users can update the counts to reflect any data that was added/changed since the report was generated for that period
  • Updated the 8501, 8501 MHCS, 9500, and 9500 MHCS reports to display a tab for each county in the data system that users are reporting for

Family Application Enhancements:

  • Added a link to the household record for Child Addition applications, similar to the ones for Re-Applications in the Applications & Waitlist grid
  • Updated the way applications appear on the Applications & Waitlist grid after they have gone through intake so that they are immediately identifiable with a green "View" button, and highlighted row

PLIS Report Enhancements:

  • Updated the PLIS Report grid to list the Household Names of foster children as their own name or the name of the oldest foster child in the household
  • Updated the PLIS Report grid to highlight the "Site ZIP" cell red if the site's zip code isn't 9 digits long
  • Optimized the formatting of the PLIS Report TXT download to exclude quotations around the values per PLIS guidelines
