New CLASS Environment Infant-Toddler Type
- We have created a new CLASS assessment type titled "CLASS Environment Infant-Toddler." This new assessment type will allow staff to report on the Emotional and Behavioral Support and the Engaged Support for Learning items within the Environment Infant-Toddler assessment.
Please note that the CLASS assessment type previously labeled "CLASS Environment" has now been re-labeled to be "CLASS Environment Pre-K-K" to more clearly distinguish the two types of Environment assessments - all pre-existing CLASS Environment assessments will remain as-is other than the change to the title of its assessment type.
New Staff Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Login Feature
- We are excited to announce our new Two-Factor Authentication functionality that can be enabled during staff login. When turned on, this feature will require staff to enter a six-digit code sent to their work email address to log in. The account verification will last 30 days; staff will not need to enter a new code during this period, so long as the user's IP Address doesn't change. After 30 days, staff must enter a new code during their next login.
Please note that upon release of this work, this feature will be turned "off" so there will be no difference with the staff login process. If you would like this feature to be enabled for your agency/center, please reach out to our support team at support@hubbeinc.com. Thank you!
Family Application Enhancements
- We're updating the "Re-Application" to prevent parents or staff from deleting the parent records within it. We're preventing this because these applications are linked to parent records within the household record in Hubbe, and deleting these parents causes errors upon intake. This update will prevent issues that staff have had when trying to intake an application and encountering the error message: "A parent with the same first and last name already exists in this family." We have an update planned to allow parents to mark an existing parent as "No longer in the household" as a way to indicate that the parent should be removed from their household during the re-application process.
- Updated the "Invite This Year's Families to Re-Apply" grid to only include the families who do not have an active application tied to their email address. This update is in response to an issue from the field where staff were blocked from inviting families to re-apply because some of the families in the grid had created "New Applications" with the same email address used in their household record (which can be linked to the existing household prior to intake).
Attendance Enhancements
- Created a new setting in the "Attendance and Health Checks" tab of the Agency Preferences record titled "Include absence prompt for families whose children are enrolled in a tuition-based program." When set to "Yes" this setting will prompt parents who have children enrolled under tuition contracts with the "Manage Absence(s)" page in the eSignature Attendance Portal so that the parent can select the reason for absence and provide an eSignature, before signing their child in/out. Please note that this setting will only be visible in your Agency Preferences if the following setting is also set to "Yes": Prompt parents to manage absences before the sign-in/out process.
PLIS Report Updates
- Updated the PLIS Report to include all active CCL License Numbers in the "Facility Number" column of the report for the following license types:
- Child Care Center | Preschool – serves ages 2-5
- Family Child Care Home (Small) | 8 children or less
- Family Child Care Home (Large) | up to 14 children
- Single License Child Care Center
In addition to the update above, the PLIS Report will also warn users with red shading in the "Facility Number" grid cell if more than one license number is listed so that users can address this and ensure only one preschool license is active for the site (note that center-based sites with a preschool and infant/toddler license at one site will not be affected by this update, since the PLIS report only looks for preschool, FCCH, or Single License types as listed above)
Notice of Action (NOA) Enhancements
- The NOA Notes management grid at the agency level has been reorganized into a new tab layout by category to simplify the notes setup process. In addition, when creating or updating a NOA for a family, users can now select from a "Category" drop-down to unfurl only the notes in that category. We hope this update eases the process of finding and inserting notes in the "Reason for Action" section on the NOA!
