CSPP contractors who are required to submit the 801A report to CDMIS.

What's in the new update?

1. Newly Updated Version of the 801A/B Report for CDE Programs (July 2025 and on)
2. Access to the previous version of the 801A/B Report for CDE Programs (Pre- July 2025)

What does the new CDE-EED CDMIS 801A/B Report include?

There are many changes to the CDE 801A Report that have all been implemented into your Hubbe system. You will simply need to navigate to the new report and then complete the usual steps of resolving any family errors, downloading the TXT file, and submitting your report as before. The changes to the CDE 801A Report include:

1. Removed the following columns from the report:
   • TANF/CalWORKs Cash Aid Recipient?
   • Family Income Greater Than 85 Percent of the State Median Income
   • Reason for Receiving Child Care
   • Child's Primary Language
   • Child is English Learner
   • Provider FEIN/SSN
   • Program Code 1 / Program Code 2 / Program Code 3
   • Attendance Status 2 / Attendance Status 3
2. New & Updated Columns to Family Information:
   • Head of Household Address 1
   • Head of Household Address 2 (optional)
   • Head of Household City
   • Head of Household State
   • Reason for Needing Service (newly updated and re-titled)
   • CalWORKs Recipient
3. New & Updated Columns to Child Information:
   • Gender (updated to allow for "Non-Binary" with code X)
   • Child has an IEP or IFSP (updated to report code 01, 02, or 03)
   • Is Child Receiving Extended Learning and Care?
   • Child's Eligibility
   • Is Child Enrolled in a DSS Program?
   • Is Child Enrolled in a Head Start Program?
4. New & Updated Columns to Provider Information:
   • Type of Child Care (updated to remove options 05, 06, 07, and 08 as eligible)
   • Attendance Status (combined the three previous attendance status columns into one)
   • Is this Provider License-Exempt?
   • Provider License Number
   • Provider Address 1
   • Provider Address 2 (optional)
   • Provider Address City
   • Provider Address Zip
     

How to Navigate to the New CDE 801A/B Report

As an Agency Admin, click on Families and Parents > State Reports > CDE CDMIS 801A/B.

How to Generate the New CDE 801A Report

1. Enter the Report Period month and year (effective for the July 2025 reporting period and on)
2. Select the Region (if applicable)
3. Select the Contract Name(s) of the Funding Contracts that should be included in the report
4. Enter the Submission Code for any sub-agencies you report for
5. Select whether to Only Show Rows with Errors, Show Rows with No Errors, or leave the selection blank to generate the report for all families where the above filters apply
6. Click Run Report

How to Correct Report Data

Once the CDE 801A report has been generated, the Hubbe system will show you if any report errors in the grid must be corrected. Any cell highlighted in red is a cell that must be corrected.

If a cell in the report grid is highlighted in red and a red exclamation point shows before the value, you can hover over the icon to see the reason for the error. Click in that cell to correct the missing/incomplete data. If the cell is not click-able, then you can easily navigate to the family record from the link within the first column "Link to Family."

How to Download the TXT File Export

Once all data errors are corrected, click on the TXT button at the top of the grid to download the TXT file that can be used for the Electronic File Upload in CDMIS.

How to Navigate to the Previous Version of the CDE 801A/B Report (Pre-July 2025)

As an Agency Admin, click on Families and Parents > State Reports > CDE CDMIS 801A/B. Once in this record, you can click the link in the top blue banner to access the previous version. The "Pre-July 2025" version should only be used for the reporting periods of June 2025 or earlier.
